Tobacco Factory Market Manager
(10-15hrs/wk, including most Sundays)

The Tobacco Factory is looking for the right person to take over the running of its popular Sunday market. You should have experience of running a project or business single-handedly, and preferably a background in food and/or sustainability. Experience of promotion or marketing is essential. You would also need to show a passion for the local community and be adept at working with a wide mix of people.

The most important aspect of the market is to provide a ‘hub’ for the community – somewhere people of all ages can come to shop, meet, eat, drink, enjoy music, or simply soak up the atmosphere, and where children can be safe in a car-free environment. The friendliness of stallholders is as important as the quality of their products.
