Its collection covers film both as an art form and as an industry. One can find literature of film genre, theory, film industry, film production, cinemas and biographies on actors and directors. The journal collection covers periodicals from the days of the silent movie into our modern era.

The Library of the Royal Academy of Letters, History and Antiquities is part of The National Heritage Board. It is a special library in archaeology,
medieval art and architecture, numismatics and Sweden's cultural heritage and its protection and preservation. The library is open for students and researchers in the Stockholm area.
The National Heritage Board is the central administrative authority in Sweden for protection and preservation of the national cultural
heritage.

The Nordic Africa Institute |

The library at Nordiska Afrikainstitutet (The Nordic Africa Institute, NAI) specialises in contemporary Africa. The holdings cover the entire
continent with emphasis on modern history, politics, education, economics, and other social sciences as well as African fiction.
NAI was founded in 1962. It serves as a research, documentation and information centre on modern Africa for the Nordic countries. It is financed
jointly by the Nordic countries (Denmark, Finland, Iceland, Norway and Sweden) and governed by a Programme and Research Council.

Astra |

Astra, the international pharmaceutical company based in Sweden, has signed a contract with ICL Denmark on February 5, 1999 to purchase
the library management system ALEPH 500.
The system will be used at six company libraries, three in Sweden and one in each of the UK, United States and Canada. These libraries will access the system on one server based in Södertälje, Sweden. Book catalogues, searching and Web and Windows interfaces will be operational by May 26, 1999. Astra chose ALEPH 500 because of its innovative structure, its modern Web interface, its strong search capabilities and its handling of Swedish characters.

Mid Sweden University |

This- ALEPH 500installation will include the Mid University Library, the Public Library of Härnösand and the Regional Library of Västernorrland. It
will be the first networked ALEPH500 installation containing both academic and public libraries and a unique library network will bee available to the region.
Mid Sweden University is a multi-campus network university with centres in several cities. It was established on July 1, 1993,
when the University Colleges of Sundsvall/Härnösand and Östersund were merged. On July 1, 1995, the Sundsvall/Örnsköldsvik and Sundsvall Colleges of Health Sciences were also incorporated. The university offers more than 70 study programmes and approximately 500 single-subject courses. There are approximately 950 employees at the university, 460 of whom are involved in teaching, and 12,000 students, of whom approximately 150 are doctoral students.

SLUB has been an Aleph 300 customer since 1992 and has now decided to migrate to Aleph 500. The contract was awarded in full competition with other
vendors and ICL will deliver a common library system solution for the SLUB decentralised organisation.
