Autographics buys Wings™ ILL product

Autographics is continuing its thrust into ASP library system provision by the purchase of the Web based Wings ILL product from Pigasus.  Have a look at Wings via a demo or free download.

POMONA, CA., June 15, 2001

   (AUGR) the leading provider of ASP (Application Services Provider) services for over 9,000 libraries, located in Pomona, CA, is pleased to announce its impending purchase of the WINGS™ software assets from Pigasus Software, Inc.  of Saint Charles, Missouri.

The acquisition allows Auto-Graphics to expand upon its leadership role as an ASP by expanding its resource sharing product line to include the WINGS™ software.  Auto-Graphics will embark upon further integrating the proven WINGS ISO 10160/10161 resource sharing system into the proven Impact/ONLINE™ system, which currently is in use throughout North America.

Michael Skiles, President, Auto-Graphics stated, “Auto-Graphics views this acquisition as a strategic step to solidify its position in the increasingly competitive resource sharing arena.  Further, the acquisition is consistent with the larger corporate goal to position the company as a leading provider of Library Management solutions.”

Auto-Graphics also plans to integrate the ISO WINGS product into the Impact/VERSO™ Library Management System as well as the cross-domain (super-search) engine under development.

Pigasus Software has announced the availability of the free INDEPENDENCE interlibrary loan software.  Complete information is available at www.wings-online.org/

The INDEPENDENCE system lets you:

• Send your requests electronically to suppliers or lending institutions
• Keep track of who wants what where and when and for how much money and for how long
• Automate your workflow so you depend less on paper-based processing
• Keep track of various charges and fees associated with requested items
• Report on your interlibrary loan and document delivery activities
