Cairs Ltd. has introduced new graphical record manipulation feature into their Archive
management software, CAIRS-ARC. The hierarchical catalogue now has a fully graphical interface allowing instant drag-and-drop movement of records within the catalogue.
The graphical display changes dynamically as records are added, moved or deleted. The
various levels of data in the hierarchy are ‘colour coded’ to help ensure clear simple and accurate manipulation of the data. Records can be moved at the same level across the hierarchy, or
promoted/demoted as appropriate, with seamless movement from one level to another.
