The Agriculture and Agri-Food Canada Library and Information Centre located in Swift Current Saskatchewan plan to use the WINGS(tm) Request Management System to handle its interlibrary loan and document delivery needs. This brings the count to three Research Centres within Agriculture and Agri-Food Canada that will be using WINGS Systems.

First contract for new company name: epixtech, inc., formerly Ameritech Library Services, announced its first contract under the company’s new name, epixtech, inc., with Barrington Area Library  (Barrington) in Barrington, Illinois. Barrington purchased the Horizon system, the Resource Sharing System (RSS), WebPAC and TeleCirc II.

Toronto District School Board (TDSB) has selected epixtech as its library automation vendor. TDSB is the third largest school district in North America serving 330,000 students, in 565 schools with up to 2000 simultaneous users.

The choice of epixtech as the school district’s automation vendor will also make it easier for students to move between TDSB libraries and the Toronto Public Library System.
